Trekker trapped in hill cleft in Kerala rescued; Karnataka hijab row escalates; more

After two days without food and water, a 23-year-old man, who got trapped in a hill cleft in Kerala’s Palakkad district, was rescued by the Indian Army on Wednesday morning. The Army team reached him and began carrying him up. He was immediately given food and water.

In another news, the row over hijab in Karnataka has led to a showdown between the BJP and the Congress. While BJP Karnataka held the Congress responsible for the "birth of the hijab row", Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said a woman has the right to wear whatever she wants to wear.
