European Commission (EU) President Ursula von der Leye claimed that the EU commits to ensuring that a certain number of Russian banks are removed from Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT). She also added that they will paralyse the assets of Russia’s central bank which will make it impossible for the central bank to liquidate their assets.
