SOS Network seeks probe into deaths of activists in Davao de Oro

Save Our Schools Network (SOS Network) spokesperson for Cebu Meg Lim, and co-convenor Datu Benito Bay-ao cry foul over the deaths of activists and Lumad school volunteer teachers Chad Booc, Geljurain Ngujo II, community health worker Elgyn Balonga, and two others in Davao de Oro, asserting that they were unarmed civilians who did research work in the province. The group is calling for autopsies and an impartial investigation into military claims that they were New People's Army (NPA) rebels who were killed during a February 24 encounter in Davao de Oro.
