Mike visits the rather depressing historic village shops in Dunnellon. While the concept is good, the execution is subpar. It's a jumbled mess of strip malls with a couple legitimate historic buildings. Even the term "Shops" is disingenuous because the vast majority of the business are not retail. Most of the actual businesses are insurance companies and doctor's offices. There are only a couple of actual retail shops and only about 4 restaurants. I try to avoid giving negative reviews, but the Crystal River Historic District is vastly superior and only a few miles away from this place (I'd recommend going to Crystal River instead).
