EPF rate slashed from 8.5 to 8.1 per cent

The return on workers’ retirement savings parked with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has been slashed to 8.1 per cent for 2021-22 from the 8.5 per cent rate credited to EPF members’ accounts in the last two years.
