उत्तर प्रदेश, पंजाब, उत्तराखंड, गोवा और मणिपुर में कॉन्ग्रेस (Congress) को मिली करारी हार के बाद पार्टी एक्शन मोड़ में है। कॉन्ग्रेस की अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी (Sonia Gandhi) ने पांचों राज्यों के कॉन्ग्रेस प्रदेश अध्यक्षों (Congress state presidents ) से इस्तीफा मांगा था। ऐसे में पंजाब प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्‍यक्ष नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू (Navjot Singh Sidhu ) ने भी अपने पद से बुधवार को इस्‍तीफा दे दिया है. उन्होंने खुद ट्वीट कर ये जानकारी दी.
