United Nations General Assembly has passed a resolution in favour of observing International Day to Combat Islamophobia on 15th March every year. It was proposed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and introduced by Pakistan. India has expressed concern saying it may divide United Nations in religious camps. India’s permanent member at UN T. S. Trimurti has said that fear is being created especially against Hindus, Buddhists and Sikh religions.



संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने हर साल 15 मार्च को इस्लामोफोबिया से निपटने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस मनाने के पक्ष में एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया है। यह इस्लामिक सहयोग संगठन (OIC) द्वारा प्रस्तावित किया गया था और पाकिस्तान द्वारा पेश किया गया था। भारत ने चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा है कि वह संयुक्त राष्ट्र को धार्मिक शिविरों में विभाजित कर सकता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत के स्थायी प्रतिनिधि टीएस त्रिमूर्ति ने कहा है कि विशेष रूप से हिंदुओं, बौद्धों और सिख धर्मों के खिलाफ डर पैदा किया जा रहा है।
