With Pakatan Harapan and its allies claiming to have the numbers to upend the Perikatan Nasional government, discussions are still ongoing on who will be named as the prime minister candidate.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad has reportedly offered to return for a third term of several months with PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as his deputy.

Anwar, however, has reportedly rejected this.
