Over 1600 cattle and sheep in the Barrackpore area have been vaccinated against Rabies in the past few weeks through the Ministry of Agriculture.

The vaccination drive was prompted following a rabies outbreak in that area, which has killed at least 27 animals.

Newly appointed line Minister Kazim Hosein and Nigel De Freitas were joined by a team from the Ministry along Sukhan Trace as they viewed the vaccination exercise on Thursday morning.
