In a dramatic turn of events at the Oscars 2022 award ceremony, celebrated actor Will Smith walked up to the stage at the Dolby theatre, punched host Chris Rock in the face and then stormed off the stage after Rock made a joke about Smith's wife which he found disturbing. Smith later apologised to the academy.
