TMC candidate Shatrughan Sinha defeated his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata Party's Agnimitra Paul by a margin of over 2.90 lakh votes in the by-elections to the Asansol Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal. TMC candidate Shatrughan Sinha has given its credit to CM Mamta Banerjee, Trinamool Congress and the people of Asansol. On the other hand, BJP candidate Agnimitra Pal said after his defeat that we welcome the mandate.

West Bengal. की आसनसोल लोकसभा सीट पर हुए उपचुनाव (Asansol Lok Sabha by-Elections) में टीएमसी उम्मीदवार शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा ने अपनी निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वी भारतीय जनता पार्टी की Agnimitra Pal को 2.90 लाख से अधिक मतों के अंतर से पराजित कर दिया है.अपनी जीत के बाद टीएमसी उम्मीदवार शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा (TMC Candidate Shatrughan Sinha) ने इसका क्रेडिट सीएम ममता बनर्जी (Mamata Banerjee), तृणमूल कांग्रेस और आसनसोल की जनता को दिया है.वहीं अपनी हार के बाद बीजेपी उम्मीदवार अग्निमित्रा पाल ने कहा कि हम जनादेश का स्वागत करते हैं.
