In Hinduism, the day of Akshaya Tritiya is considered very auspicious. There is a tradition to buy metals like gold, silver etc. on this day. It is believed that on this day Goddess Lakshmi is brought home in metal form. The festival of Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This year Akshaya Tritiya is falling on 3rd May.

हिंदू धर्म में अक्षय तृतीया का दिन बेहद शुभ माना जाता है. इस दिन सोना, चांदी आदि धातुएं खरीदने की परंपरा है. मान्यता है कि इस दिन धातु स्वरूप मां लक्ष्मी को घर लाया जाता है. अक्षय तृतीया का पर्व वैशाख माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया तिथि को अक्षय तृतीया का पर्व मनाया जाता है. इस साल अक्षय तृतीया 3 मई के दिन पड़ रही है.
