Born with just one arm, Shanghai artist Zhang Yuecheng struggled to overcome prejudice. But with the help of a local robotics company, he acquired an artificial arm that has allowed him to transform into a cyborg artist. Zhang says the arm implant has given him confidence and “shortens the distance between me and the world.”
