After it was reported that the Ministry of Culture had directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct an excavation at the Qutub Minar complex, Union Culture Minister GK Reddy stated that no such decision had been made.

Earlier today, reports surfaced claiming that the Centre had directed the ASI to conduct an excavation in the Qutub Minar complex in order to unearth facts. However, the Union Culture Minister denied the reports.
