On May 24, Andhra Pradesh’s Transport Minister P Viswarup's house was set on fire by angry protesters in Amalapuram town, Andhra Pradesh. The protest took place over proposed renaming of the newly-created Konaseema district as BR Ambedkar Konaseema district, reported NDTV. The mob also set on fire a police vehicle and an educational institution's bus, reported NDTV. Reportedly, many police officials were injured by the stones thrown by the protesters. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed in Amalapuram. Watch the video to know more.
