Price control for chicken and eggs will be extended until the end of this month, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi.

This, he said, was decided by the cabinet yesterday. The price control was supposed to end on June 5.

The government had set an RM8.9 per kg price ceiling for "standard" dressed chicken and RM9.9 per kg for "super" dressed chicken between Feb 5 and June 5.
