Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the SP alliance has slowly started cracking. After the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, the SP alliance seems to be breaking. Recently, elections were held on 13 seats of the Legislative Council. In which the Samajwadi Party did not give a single seat to any party of the alliance. Since then, the Mahan Dal, which was a part of the SP alliance, has shunned.

उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले सपा हुए सपा गठबंधन में अब धीरे-धीरे दरार आने लगी है. विधानसभा चुनाव में कराबी शिकस्त के बाद सपा गठबंधन टूटता दिख रहा है. हालही में विधान परिषद की 13 सीटों पर चुनाव हुआ. जिसमें समाजवादी पार्टी ने गठबंधन के किसी भी दल को एक भी सीट नहीं दी. जिसके बाद से सपा गठबंधन का हिस्सा रहे महान दल ने किनारा कर लिया है.
