On June 12, Javed Mohammed’s house in Prayagraj was bulldozed by the UP administration. Javed Mohammed is a leader with the Welfare Party of India. As reported by NDTV, Javed Mohammed’s house was razed hours after a notice was pasted outside his house, claiming illegal construction in the ground and first floors. After Friday prayers, huge protests were held in parts of Uttar Pradesh. The protests were held over the remarks on Prophet Muhammad by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
