Agnipath Recruitment Scheme: Modi Government on Tuesday unveiled a new short-term recruitment policy for Indian youth to serve in the armed forces. Termed Agnipath, the scheme will enable youngsters aged 17.5 to 21 to be inducted into any of the three services as 'agniveers' for a period of four years. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the Agnipath recruitment scheme for the defence forces at the National Media Centre, Delhi.

Agnipath Recruitment Scheme: मोदी सरकार (Modi Government) ने मंगलवार को सेना भर्ती में बड़ा बदलाव किया। केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह (Rajnath Singh) ने इसके लिए 'अग्निपथ भर्ती योजना' (Agnipath Recruitment Scheme) लॉन्च की। इसके तहत अब सेना में युवाओं को चार साल के लिए भर्ती किया जाएगा। ये भर्ती साढ़े 17 साल से लेकर 21 साल की उम्र तक के युवाओं की होगी।
