Amid tensions over the murder of a BJP Yuva Morcha member in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on July 28 informed that the victim’s kin are being provided with a compensation of rupees 50 lakhs. “I have provided a compensation of Rs 25 Lakhs on behalf of the Karnataka government. On our party's behalf too, we have provided compensation of Rs 25 Lakhs,” informed Karnataka CM. When asked about ban on PFI and if he'll ask Centre for the same, Basavaraj Bommai said, “We've already done what is to be done. We'll not divulge everything. Process is on and it pertains to not only Karnataka but other states also and I'm hopeful that very soon decision will be taken”.
