India reported 16,299 fresh covid cases on Wednesday, slightly higher than the number of cases recorded a day before. 53 people succumbed to the virus within a span of 24 hours. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the active covid cases in the country declined to 1,25,076.
