A landslip on Tuesday evening severely compromised a T&Tec transmission tower, leaving 30% of homes in Trinidad without an electricity supply for hours.
The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity commission began repairs on Wednesday morning and by midday, it said customers who were affected up to Wednesday morning had their supplies restored.
Reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh was in Rousillac, along part of the unopened Point Fortin Highway extension, which is near to where the tower is located.
