Even half of the official description for this place is spent on talking about the gift shop. Well..... at least they are consistent. Half of the building is the gift shop -- so you are basically paying $10 bucks to visit a gift shop and the room behind it. This place is an awful tourist trap -- I still can't believe how much so. Not recommended -- to put it mildly.

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a rehabilitation, research, and educational facility that offers the public a chance to learn about sea turtles and see rehabilitation efforts in action.
With a host of interactive exhibits and experiences, the center offers year-round indoor and outdoor programs for guests of all ages.

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center Gift Shop has a variety of sea turtle and marine life merchandise as well as sweatshirts, toys, fine silver jewelry, and handmade crafts. A portion of gift shop proceeds go to fund rehabilitation, research, and educational efforts at the center.
