श्री राधा अष्टमी भगवान कृष्ण भक्तों द्वारा मनाया जाने वाला एक प्रमुख त्योहार है। यह भाद्रपद (अगस्त-सितंबर) के महीने में शुक्ल पक्ष के आठवें दिन पड़ता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि राधा भाद्रपद शुक्ल पक्ष अष्टमी को वृषभानुपुरी में राजा वृषभ भानु और उनकी पत्नी कीर्तिदा के घर पृथ्वी पर प्रकट हुई थीं। कुछ पुस्तकों से संकेत मिलता है कि कीर्तिदा ने राधा को जन्म नहीं दिया था, लेकिन वह एक यज्ञ में दिखाई दी थी जो किसी युगल द्वारा आयोजित की गई थी। लोग राधा अष्टमी के दिन राधा रानी के पवित्र चरणों के दर्शन करते हैं। देशभर में धूमधाम के साथ भक्त राधाष्टमी का त्योहार मनाते हैं। लेकिन विशेषकर मथुरा,वृंदावन और बरसाना में राधाष्टमी के दिन विशेष आयोजन किए जाते हैं और धूमधाम से इसे मनाया जाता है। राधाष्टमी के दिन विधि विधान से पूजा-अर्चना करने से जीवन में सुख-समृद्धि, शांति और खुशहाली आती है। लेकिन राधा अष्टमी के व्रत को लेकर कुछ विशेष नियम हैं। आइए जानते हैं क्या हैं वो नियम .
