A 12-foot alligator was captured after terrorising residents by brazenly walking down the middle of a main road in Texas. Emergency services condoned off the scene as gator wranglers, from Bayou City Gator Savers, managed to wrestle with the giant reptile and safely bring the situation under control. In a 30-minute-long battle in Atascocita, Texas, USA, the men covered the 'gator with a hood and even used a tow-truck as a winch to lift it to safety. Bayou City Gator Savers said online: "I’d say I had a pretty eventful Monday definitely one for the books! 12ft 4 inch." Local police said in a statement: "This morning, deputies responded to the 13800 block of N Lake Branch Lane in Atascocita in reference to an alligator in the middle of the road. "The alligator has been safely captured and in Animal Control's possession."
