The opposition leader has accused the Prime Minister of dishonesty after the Treasurer left the door open for changes to tax cuts. During the election campaign, Anthony Albanese assured voters the cuts would be delivered, as legislated, in 2024, but the Treasurer has floated the prospect of changing the stage 3 plans, without ruling anything in or out.
