On the frontline in Donetsk region, a group of Ukrainian soldiers fire a 2S1 Gvozdika howitzer towards Russian military positions, as Russia launches mass retaliatory strikes on civilian targets across the country.

One soldier claims these strikes are a result of the fact that Russia is not capable of winning on the battlefield, and has to resolve to "striking cities that are in our rear."
