Cares | A Collaborated Reforestation Project with Gawah Bonga Foundation

Views 22

Invest Islands Foundation are in collaboration with Gawah Bonga Foundation for a project called Cares (Community Based Reforestation).

In Tumpak Village, Dusun Bonga, Burhan, the founder of Gawah Bonga Foundation, and his friends are fighting hard to restore their local forest. Upon taking their education away from their home village, they have learned the importance of climate change and its impact on the economy. This fuelled their motivation to return back home where they have actively responded and initiated many reforestation activities, mitigating and adapting to climate change.

The awareness in the surrounding communities of the damage that occurs in their environment has ignited their passion for developing reforestation strategies. The help they need is with tree seedlings, and people to do the gradual planting and care of the tree in its early growth stages.

Gawah Bonga Foundation really deserves the help for the dedication and effort they have put into the forests in Lombok. It is their enthusiasm and very high initiative that drives us to raise this campaign in order to support their efforts.

Let’s help Burhan and their communities restore the greenery of their forest and make their dreams come true by donating and supporting this project.

Your donation in Lombok will have an impact on the whole world. The beauty of the forest on the island of Lombok will also have an impact on our earth, wherever you are, you will definitely be able to receive its kindness too.
