Hungarian Air Force is leading NATO’s Baltic Air Policing Mission


NATO Air Policing is a permanent, 365-day-per-year role that is active during times of peace. It consists of swift-response fighter jets that can be launched in a matter of minutes to intercept any aircraft that would infringe on Allied airspace.

Jets taking off, pilots inspecting their aircraft, and a Hungarian-language interview with the detachment commander, Lieutenant Colonel Attila Ványik, are all shown in the footage. Pilots also perform a training scramble.
