OM Mantra 108 Times Chanting | Removes All Negative Energy | Relaxing Music
The OM (or Aum) is the Primordial Sound of the Universe. It’s the sound that reverberates in the entire cosmos and in every cell of our body. When you chant Om, a vibration sound felt through your vocal cord that clears and opens the sinuses. Chanting Om also has cardiovascular benefits. It reduces stress and relaxes your body that brings down the blood pressure on the normal level and the heart beats with a regular rhythm.
You may chant OM along with the track or simply let it play in the background as you meditate and focus on your breathing in and out. Simple but a very effective technique.

What does Om do to brain?
Chanting OM stimulates the vagus nerve through its auricular branches which sharpens the power of the brain. A study also revealed that OM (or Aum) chanting can indicate limbic deactivation. This makes the mind more alert thereby raising the level of awareness and concentration.
What is the Vagus Nerve? The vagus nerve, also known as the vagal nerves, are the main nerves of your parasympathetic nervous system. This system controls specific body functions such as your digestion, heart rate and immune system. These functions are involuntary, meaning you can't consciously control them.
It also helps restoring balance and peace of mind.

According to Ayurveda, we have 108 marma points (vital points of life forces) in our body. So, this is why all mantras are chanted 108 times because each chant represents a journey from our material self towards our highest spiritual self. Each chant is believed to bring you 1 unit closer to our god within.
