Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied claims that BN candidates were being made to sign a pledge to give him the mandate to form the next cabinet if BN wins the 15th general election (GE15).

“All lies,” Bernama quoted him replying briefly when asked to comment on the allegation.

Yesterday, The Vibes reported that BN candidates were made to sign a pledge to give Zahid the mandate to form the next cabinet, despite him having publicly announced Ismail Sabri Yaakob - his subordinate in Umno - as BN's prime minister candidate.
