Johoreans working abroad, especially those currently working in Singapore, should come back to vote as Barisan Nasional was not banking on low voter turnout to win in this election, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Johor Mentri Besar said that during an event to present the watikah (letter of candidacy) to Barisan candidates in Johor Baru on Thursday (Nov 3), adding that this election was not an easy one and described Barisan as an "underdog" but he was confident the people would vote for a stable and prosperous government.
On the Barisan candidates, Onn Hafiz said that it was a good mix of new and old faces, and appealed to Johoreans to give them a good mandate to develop the country as it is important to have stability in the country.
