China’s President Xi Jinping has told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz the two countries should work more closely in ‘times of change and turmoil’. Scholz arrived in Beijing on Friday for a one-day trip, becoming the first G7 leader to visit the country since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
