The Mayor of Port of Spain says "nobody wants to live in a hell hole" and, as such, a key part of avoiding that is to give the local government bodies more authority to carry out their duties.

In an interview with our Political Editor Juhel Browne, the Mayor of this nation's capital city explained why he believes the councils of all 14 local government bodies need a four year instead of a three year term, as that extension is facing a legal challenge.
