As soon as Dallas Empire announced their roster in October 2019, they were placed amongst the favourites for the CDL 2020 season before they had even played a game. Combining veteran talent such as Clayster and Crimsix with hot FPS prospects Shottzy, Huke and Illey, the roster featured a unique mix that no other CDL team could quite match.
It took a while for the team to gel though, as Empire struggled to win just a single map at the Launch Weekend event in Minnesota. While some fans doubted their ability at LAN - claiming the younger members of the roster were only good online. They quickly shut down the critics.
This is the story of Dallas Empire's CDL Season and how they booked their place in the final four of CDL Champs.
