Shag was a garage band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin who in the late 1960s moved to California, where they played at all the major venues and ballrooms, supporting Jefferson Airplane, The Who among others. In 1969 the band recorded a demo that was in fact a fully finished album of psychedelia, acid rock and proto prog, with loud fuzz-wah guitars, crazy percussion and beautiful inserts of flute and saxophone. The album remained in the dust of the shelves until its first release in 2005.
