The Velvet Illusions - a group from the town of Yakima (State of Washington), which existed in 1966-1968. Not released full length, released in 1967, five singles (10 songs), which are recorded on this compilation album. The average age of the musicians at that time was 17 years ... The group became known for having led the music from the fight against drugs ... The most famous song was Acid Head, which authorities quickly banned the spread of alleged glorification of drugs, but which, ironically, was the antidrug anthem. And not having achieved notable success, the group disbanded. An attempt was made to organize a new band The Peppermint Tea for entertainment during basketball games, but it did not last long. Then they changed their name to The New Velvet Illusions and then finally broke ...
