A woman was caught on CCTV as she struggled to steal an inflatable snowman from a Christmas-themed display. Security camera footage shows a woman making no effort to disguise her identity as she walked onto the porch and snatched the snowman from one corner. Initially, she dragged the snowman - but was stopped in her tracks as it was still plugged in at the wall. The 'Grinch' then tried to disconnect the power at the socket, but failed to get it out and ended up turning all of the lights off, before calling out "I need help" to an accomplice. Eventually, the woman made her way to the getaway vehicle with the inflatable snowman. Ben Lagrange and Chris Davidson, owners of Blue Ridge Heating and Air, in Breward, North Carolina, USA, said: "There were nicer Christmas decorations on the porch that could have been stolen. "This thief just wanted the snowman I guess. It was $17." Ben and Chris reported the theft to police and an investigation was launched. They added: "They thought they knew who it was when they saw and heard the video, but then learned that individual was in jail at the time. "All the employees think it's kind of funny, especially how the thief struggles to get the snowman off the porch and then drags it to the car." The suspect still remains at large with the missing snowman. The footage was filmed on December 7.
