A man has been arrested after two men and a woman were stabbed during a horror knife attack on one of Birmingham's busiest streets. Emergency services were called to Soho Road, in the Handsworth area of the city, after the three victims were brutally knifed at around 3.20am today (Thurs). The extent of their injuries is not yet known but West Midlands Police said a man was arrested at the scene and is being quizzed by detectives. A cordon stretching more than half a mile has been erected affecting hundreds of businesses along the bustling street which is one of the major commuter routes into the city. A huge police presence could be seen at the scene this morning (Thurs) while enquiries into the attack continue. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We have currently closed off an area of Soho Road, Birmingham. "The road is closed between Bolton Road and Grove Road, Birmingham. "A man has been arrested from Soho Road after two men and a woman were found with injuries, believed to be stab wounds. "We were called to Soho Road at around 3.20am. "The road will be closed this morning while officers establish the circumstances around what has happened. We'll provide more details in due course. "Commuters and transport companies are advised to make alternative arrangements to navigate Soho Road."
