On the occasion of Art Basel Miami Beach’s 20th anniversary, the artist studio Drift (Lonneke Gordijn, Ralph Nauta) performed the drone sculpture “Franchise Freedom” above the Miami Beach Convention Center. In addition, one of their earliest pieces, “Fragile Future”, was on display at the booth of Carpenters Workshop Gallery at Design Miami. In this conversation with independent curator Natalie Kovacs, Ralph Nauta talks about the piece and Drift’s work in general.
