On Sunday, the Iranian Police arrested several top football players in raid on a New Year party for violating laws. A report said that men and women allegedly mingled at the party, and alcohol was served in violation of an Islamic ban. Under Iran’s Islamic laws, mingling between sexes outside marriage and drinking alcohol are banned.
