After the Joshimath land subsidence case in which major cracks appeared in the houses, now the cracks were observed on some houses in Bahuguna Nagar of Karnaprayag Municipality in Chamoli district.

The cracks in the walls and the floors of the houses are getting deeper. Residents are forced to vacate their homes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami closely monitoring the situation.

Uttarakhand’s Joshimath has been declared a landslide-subsidence zone. Over 60 families have been evacuated from the landslide-subsidence zone.
