By special request I share another superb version of this great song. Alex Bartha led Atlantic City's hottest band in the mid-1930s. Featuring famed trumpeter Ziggy Elman, the local group drew crowds that rivaled big name outfits. Though best remembered as the house band at the Steel Pier the orchestra toured regionally. Bartha faded into obscurity when Benny Goodman hired away Elman in 1936. This brilliant record (credited "Alex Bartha's Hotel Traymore Orchestra") was made in 1932.
