Muslims in several Asian countries have taken to the streets to protest against attacks on Islam’s holy book in Sweden and the Netherlands. Far-right Swedish-Danish politician Rasmus Paludan set fire to a copy of the Koran on January 21, 2022, in Stockholm, followed by a one-man protest by Edwin Wagensveld in The Hague, where pages of the book were torn out. Demonstrations in Muslim-majority countries in Asia are calling for a boycott of Swedish and Dutch products.
