Cold and flu medicine recalled over anaphylaxis risk

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has recalled more than 40 cough syrups, lozenges, and cold and flu medicine containing cough suppressant pholcodine due to its link to an increased risk of fatal anaphylaxis when mixed with general anesthesia.
