India logged 3,016 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, highest in nearly six months. The number of cases have seen a 40 per cent rise since March 29, as per Union health ministry data. Daily positivity rate has been recorded at 2.7 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 1.71 per cent. India had reported 3,375 cases on October 2, 2022. India’s Covid-19 death count has increased to 5,30,862. 14 deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours. National Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.78 per cent. Number of recoveries stands at 4,41,68,321. Many states are planning to hold emergency meetings over the rising cases of coronavirus in the country. Watch the video to know more.
