Newlyweds had to abandon their £5k honeymoon after their wedding night ended in disaster - when the bride slipped on an ice cube and broke her foot.
Daisy Allen, 24, got tangled in her dress and fell while dancing.
She husband Tom Allen, 31, were due to spend two nights in Miami followed by a Caribbean cruise after tying the knot on March 18.
But they've had to cancel the honeymoon trip as her foot is in a plaster cast.
Daisy, a police control room supervisor, said: "One minute I was dancing, and the next I was on the floor.
"When I couldn't stand up, I knew I'd really hurt myself.
"And it became clear we'd be testing the 'in sickness and in health' part of our marriage very early!"
Daisy and Tom, who live in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, married at Berwick Lodge in nearby Bristol.
More than 100 people were invited to the reception - which had a disco to finish off the night.
Daisy had been taking photos outside earlier in the day when she caught her wedding dress on a bramble bush.
She then slipped on melted ice cubes from a broken glass while dancing - and caught her foot in the hole she had created.
She twisted her knee as she fell, fracturing her foot in the process.
"I knew I'd damaged my dress outside but I wasn't bothered - I was having a great time," said Daisy.
"It was about 7pm when I was dancing with friends and someone had broken a glass.
"I slipped on the ice cubes, and my left foot got trapped in the hole in my dress.
"At first I was laughing, but when I tried to stand up, I couldn't - and that's when I realised I'd hurt myself quite badly.
"I was carried upstairs to my hotel room by my best friend and bridesmaid, and my husband came and looked after me.
"Sadly, that was the end of our wedding night,"
Tom, a police officer, took Daisy to Weston General Hospital the next morning.
X-rays showed she'd suffered a Lisfranc fracture - a rare fracture damaging the metatarsal and ligaments in her foot.
She was told she may have to undergo surgery if the plaster cast she is currently wearing doesn't fuse the bone back together.
And the injury has meant Daisy and Tom have had to cancel their dream honeymoon.
Daisy said: "Basically, from where I fell, I broke my metatarsal, and damaged the ligaments that support the middle of the foot.
"I'm in plaster cast, and, if it doesn't get better, I'll need surgery.
"We were supposed to be jetting off to Miami for two nights, followed by a week long cruise around the Caribbean.
"We had all sorts of fun stuff booked like basketball matches and speedboat trips, but instead, I'm bedbound.
"The honeymoon cost us just under £5,000, but thankfully we've been able to get the money back from the hotel in Miami.
"The insurance company is currently dealing with our claim, so we hope to get the money back for the flights and cruise too.
"All in all it's been a bit of a disaster, but we're hoping to rebook for September - I guess it's just one of those things!"
