Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge sparked a major political row by calling PM Modi a “poisonous snake” in poll-bound Karnataka’s Kalburagi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was quick to launch a counter attack over Kharge’s comments. After facing flak, Kharge clarified and claimed that he meant to say that BJP's ideology is 'like a snake'.
