Harry Kane has said that he is "focused" on finishing this season strongly with Tottenham Hotspur despite talk of a potential summer transfer to Manchester United.

Kane has 14 months remaining on his current contract with Spurs.

The 29-year-old is the club's all-time leading scorer with 274 goals in 430 appearances but he has still not won a major trophy.

Many observers believe that a move to Old Trafford could help Kane to compete for the silverware he craves.

United fans would love to see Kane join their club.

Kane was named as the man of the match on Thursday night as Spurs fought back from 2-0 down to hold United to a 2-2 draw in north London.

During the game, United supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium sang: "Harry Kane, we'll see you in June."

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Kane acknowledged that he had heard the chant.

"I heard what they were saying but I'm just focused on this team and trying to finish strongly," he said.

Kane also revealed that he and some other senior players had spoken to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy following last weekend's 6-1 defeat at Newcastle.

Levy sacked interim manager Cristian Stellini 24 hours after that game and replaced him with Ryan Mason.

Kane explained: "I think it was important [for Levy] to understand where the players' heads were at in that moment.

"It was an honest conversation of where everyone is at and what we need to try to do to give us the best possible chance to finish the season with something."

Thursday's draw with United left Spurs fifth in the Premier League table with five games remaining.

Man United are six points better off in fourth place and have two games more than Spurs left to play.

But Kane has not yet given up hope of a top-four finish.

He added: "We're still fighting for fourth place but if it's not fourth, we'll try to finish fifth or sixth - as high up as we can.

"In this league, it's so competitive, you can easily end up eighth or ninth if you're not careful. That's what it was - to give us the best chance and I'm glad we reacted like that.
