Shri Siddaroodha Swamy Math and Moorusavirmath are popular among celebrities and politicians alike. The 100-year-old math is built in the memory of Shri Siddharoodha Swamy, who took “Samadhi” in 1929.
In 1919 this Math was visited by Lokamanya Gangadhar Tilak; again later in 1924, Mahatma Gandhi visited the site. It is a remarkable religious institution for all devotees.
Siddaroodha Swami Math is now being taken care of by trust official Shekhar Dev Gowda. While speaking to ANI, Gowda said, “Swamiji was born in 1836 on the day of Ramnavami, he was a form of god born in Bidar district. At the age of 7, he came under the guidance of Guru. He made Hubballi his native place since then he started giving knowledge of Vedas to people and people started to believe that he is an incarnation of Shiva.”
